About CompCon 2013

CompCon 2013 will be the inaugural national conference for students of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology and related technology disciplines. CompCon is run by students, for students!

The conference will be held at the Australian National University, Canberra, from 28-30 September 2013.

At CompCon you can explore new areas of the varied and diverse world of computing. You’ll get the opportunity to explore some areas of computer science that you don’t cover in the curriculum, with talks about leading-edge research and workshops introducing you to new programming languages and other interesting technical concepts!

You’ll also get to meet other computing students from around Australia, and network with representatives from prominent Australian and international technology companies.

At CompCon 2013, you’ll get:

  • Hands-on technology workshops

  • Hacking sessions
  • Careers fair, featuring some of Australia’s leading employers

CompCon Incorporated

Created to manage the organisation of CompCon for years to come, CompCon Incorporated was registered as an incorporated association in the ACT in March 2013. CompCon Incorporated is registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and the Australian Taxation Office.

Host Organisation - ANU CSSA

The ANU Computer Science Students’ Association (CSSA) is the host organisation for CompCon 2013. The CSSA is one of the most active and respected student groups on the ANU campus (Winner, ANUSA Event of the Year 2012; Runner-Up, ANUSA Large Club of the Year 2012).
