Making the most of your time at university

Type:
Talk (30 mins)
Location:
Main Theatre (GHD Auditorium)
Time:
15:00
Abstract:

University can sometimes be overly theoretical and may not get you as excited as it should to enter an ever growing and amazing industry. Employers are saying that they value extracurricular activities, completed projects, passion for the industry and experience above the piece of paper- after all, everyone applying for that job has one. During this presentation, we will look at ways to get more involved in the industry to keep yourself employable and engaged. We will discuss events to get involved with, student groups that may be available and other ways you can make yourself either more favourable to employers or build on your entrepreneurial endeavours.
